Great read for the novice, or even advanced reefers. One thing I would add is something that I always do when entering a new (to me) LFS: I like to listen to the staff interacting with other customers. What I like to hear is the staff discouraging a purchace that isn't right for the customer. The concern that the staff shows for the customer and the livestock speaks volumes about the integrity of the establishment in my opinion.
