...new tank is acting fully cycled. I also saved about 50g of the old water and mixed old sand with new live sand. All in all it was 3 weeks of hell until the new tank arrived and then had to pay someone to help me get it up and running but issues with tanks are all part of the hobby. #reeflife :)
...in a day or two for no apparent reason. Best guess was angel picking at it but i have no proof. I usually just frag what i can, move it (usually to my other tank) and it comes back. I'm sure parameters are part of it in many cases but mine were stable and not much else changed. #reeflife
...the sudden. The only things that have changed are the new liferock tree and the switch to AFR. He's fat and happy, been in the tank for maybe two years. No other fish exhibiting signs. It's also definitely not sand stuck in his mucus coat which I know happens with them frequently. Sigh. #reeflife
...bed. Lastly, I regret buying coral from a reef shop that was attached to true live ocean rock and the hitchhikers were astronomical. Trust your sources as well, because not everyone is in the hobby for your pleasures. Some may be in it to just make a buck off the uneducated. #happyreefing...
