Well, I been hinting enough about a new build coming. Figured I'd open up a build thread for whats coming.... Better get some popcorn....

Live stock are getting moved to a temporary 40 breeder to free up the space for the build.

Tank has been ordered....Aquahut has been super helpful!
Dimensions - 48.5"x30"x21"
2 drains, 2 returns on the 30" side
Will be viewable from 3 sides (peninsula duh!... )
Stand - Metal with wood skin

Return Pump - Octopus Diablo 5500
Skimmer - Octopus Diablo DCS-200
Sump - 40 breeder or my new frag tank (48x18x12)
ATO and waterchanges performed by litermeter 3 (continuous water changes)
Lights - I only have 1 27" 160w 10k maxspect. Thinking of putting 2 or 3 t5's on each side. Thoughts on this one?
Reef angel dosing 2 part
1 reactor for biopellets, 1 reactor for gfo/carbon
2 mp10's for now. I know they will barely make it on the glass. I'm hoping for the best here. If not, I'll likely go jebao...thoughts?
Black Tahitian sand
Apex controller for everything else...lol.

Any suggestions to the list?
-Scott.

Well I'm feeling every bone in my back this morning.... After a whole weekend of work, here's the progress....

Place the stand will sit....

My helper... Finally got here involved... :)

The stand as it sits... Still have a bit more painting and the shelf for the sump to put in....

LOL!! That's too funny. I wonder if it'll look good with snow and ice on it... Dang weather. I was hoping to get this bad boy in the house in the next couple days...

Ok, time to update the build thread...

Poured concrete in mold...

Placed on stand and setup tank...

View of the detail in the slab....there's some white in the concrete. That's the sealer that wasn't dry yet. It dries clear. Still have some more sealing to do...

Finished plumbing and water testing in progress.

Concrete slab looks sweet. As far as flow, I would do 2 MP40's on the back wall facing forward.

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
