REEF2REEF Saltwater and Reef Aquarium Forum
I have been designing this new build for over 2 years and I am almost in ready to start hard plumbing my 1.5'' drains since I am running one of Synergy 20'' External overflow box. I am going to be running an EcoTech M1 for one return and for my other return I have selected the #ApexCOR20 for my 2nd return pump. Also, for flow inside of the 150 I bought a pair of MP40QWD's and 2 TUNZE Turbelle Nanostream 6055 Controllable pumps which will be installed in the back for any dead spots. As far as my Skimmer, I went with a Reef Octo Regal 150 and I am in the process of ordering an #TurboAquatics Tubro Algae scrubber, L-2 Model and for my Lighting, I went with a pair of @Orphek Atlantik Compact V4 (Gen 2) LED fixtures. My sump just came in Synergy. I bought one of there CL-44 sumps which the craftsmanship is out of this world! Also, Rick over Synergy build me some custom brackets for my L-2 Scrubber that will sit on top of my Sump nice and tight! I should have water flowing in my dream tank in the next few weeks!

SCA 150 Rimless including a 20'' Synergy External Overflow box - specs are the following - 60''x24''x24'' & VidaRocks
As for my Lighting, I went with a pair of @Orphek - Atlantik Compact V4 (Gen 2) LED fixtures w/ there #Orphek Mounting Legs!
Synergy Reef Systems CL-44 Red&White w/ a 10 gallon matching ATO Reservoir
Nice build as always @CJs Aquariums - In my opinion, the smaller the tank the harder it is to maintain especially if you have an SPS Dominate type tank which is what I will be aiming for on my new SCA 150 Rimless build.
Instead of going with the SCA PNP system, I had SCA Aquariums custom build me a Rimless 150, so I had SCA drill me two holes for my 20'' Synergy External Overflow box since I wanted to go with a Bean type animal system for my drains.
Plus, the PNP systems from SCA takes up way to much real estate in the tank vs going with an External Overflow box! Tank looks just like mine but my measurements are the following - 60''x24''x24''. I am not a big fan of Euro braced tanks unless you have a canopy sitting on top.
All in all your canopy CJ came out pretty tight! See I will be running two #Orphek Compacts on my SCA150 but instead of floating them in the canopy as you did, I WILL be mounting them with a pair of @Orphek mounting legs that I bought direct.
Any new Updates with the tank mate? Keep it easy homie and peace out!

@lbacha- You have no idea!! No, not yet but I am planning on messing around with them this weekend! Don't worry, I will post some pictures with the pair of my #Orphek's up and running!
I still have to grab a few of my friends so I can put my SCA 150 display tank in the proper place! Let me tell you, this tank is not lite at all.
As far as the OR60-120 series, those are if you want to add a little more pop to your tank. I don't think just running 1 OR60 will not grow any sort of SPS corals.
#Orphek, makes them in 3 different sizes - 120/90/60 bar Leds.
Ones I get my SPS dominate reef going I will most likely add one of these for the front of the tank and one for the back of the tank. All I know is this company HAS BEEN superior in manufacturing aquarium lightings for years now. They are the Flag Ship of Aquarium leds in my opinion. I like them better than your Radiants, Hydra HD52's, Giesemann Verve Leds or even the Kessil AP700 leds. They are super easy to set up along with the #Orphek #Gateway #WIFI box so you can control them from anywhere in the world with the app.
Hats off to #Orphek's customer service since its absolutely Superior vs some other MFGS that I will not call out. If you send #Orphek an email, you will get a response back from them guaranteed if not you sending it to the wrong email..
@alpinestar - First, I have to move my SCA 150 which is not a lite let me tell you to the correct location in my house! Currently I just got done tearing down my 120 mixed reef that was up and running for over 14 years.
This Saturday, i am planning on garbing a few friends so I can take the tank of the stand and lay down some of Innovative Marine LEVELING MAT before I put the Rimless 150 back on the stand .
Then ones I get my tank is the proper area I will start doing my install on these two #Orphek Compact light fixtures. I will be posting pictures this week in my build thread link below ones I get them mounted and all hooked up to my WIFI network.
All I know is I am so happy I chose a pair of these new GEN2 #Orphek Compact light fixtures VS going with the 47'' Razor fixture or going with the 3 Radiant's from Eco-tech!
I just picked up a pair of Orphek’s Atlantik V4 compact GEN2 LED Fixtures from @Bulk Reef Supply and bought the #Orphek Tank Mounting legs, that I got direct from the MFG which which was really nice to chat with them and there outstanding customer service they provided. Also, got the #Orphek Gateway WIFI BOX FOR THE NEW SCA RIMLESS 150 BUILD.
** MASSIVE NEW UPDATE ON MY SCA 150 RIMLESS BUILD ***
I finally got both of my #Orphek - #Atlantik Compact V4 (Gen 2) Led Fixtures for my Rimless SCA 150. Plus a set of #Orphek mounting legs and the #Orphek WIFI #GatewayBox to be able to control these lights from anywhere in the world. I have been in this hobby for a long time and I have never seen light fixtures like these new Atlantik Compact V4 (Gen 2) Led Fixtures...
Just take a look at how well these light fixtures are built! WOW...
