Between g4 not letting g3 upgrade and l1 not working with apex going to drop all ecotech products from my tank it been fun but going support venders that support better heath for fish and corols vs profits .

Only time will tell. In my book ecotech is equaling Walmart brand vs better heath for fish and corals.

As a Gen2pro owner And happy to still be using them I can honestly say I'm happy to see the new lights but was hoping for something a bit different if that makes sense... I don't know what let me say first of all... Just something a bit different... More pucs, reverse mounted fan like the xr15... Casing colour options I have a white tank would love white Radions... I knew I would never bother upgrading from my Fantastic Gen2pros to be honest I may never get round to it but at least the tech is moving on and giving me something to think about and long for....

When did Ecotech stop claiming upgradability as a selling point? I own 6 - G3 Radions. Having an upgrade path was a selling point for me, and now I can't upgrade. I wonder if they'll offer a loyalty discount to people who bought Radions last year. Kinda dissapointed that they haven't gotten in front of this issue.

SAME this is why i actually chose to upgrade from my previous lights to radion g3 pros so down the line i could upgrade! hopefully they at least offer a trade in program for upgrades.
upgradeability was a major selling point and they need to give the apex control of the vectra dc pumps

Obsolete ≠ sucks, but I understand where he's coming from, the light spread from the new optics is a pretty big improvement and I'd be upset too if I just purchase last week.

I'm just being dramatic.. It sucks to buy a new product and then 2 weeks later they release an upgraded version that's better than what you just bought and most likely for the same price.
Say you bought a 500hp Ferrari for $250k. 2 weeks later you go into the dealership for your first maintenance and find out that they have a brand new model with 600hp for $250k.. That's my point.
I hope the HEI lens will be compatible with the G3.. but I doubt it
