Correction: In this thread I advertised the entry at $125 presented with free shipping, ultimately, I was unable to meet this promise. I would like to formally apologize, and the amended price for entry is $125 with $35.00 shipping if not combined with another order or add-on at time of entry. I do apologize for not amending this sooner.

Presented for your consideration, your contenders for 2023's first Battlecorals Grow-Out contest!

This poll will run until January 29th, so you have one month to finalize your decision.

Straight from the Battlecorals pages, let these images and your imaginations guide you to your perfect choice.

What kinda par they like ?
Adam can correct me if his is different than mine, but they thrive in 200-280 on an 8-12 hour long photoperiod, tolerate 160-200 well, and on shorter photoperiods tolerate up to 550 PAR.

As you go up in PAR/PUR, you'll want to increase flow substantially. Coral respiration is hampered by the boundary layer of water surrounding it's tissue, Thinner the boundary layer, the more uptake and gas exchange can occur. Too little flow, oxidation and browning, as well as reduced skeletal deposition.

Great insight. Mine gets around 300-450 for sure, for 6-7 hours a day but I do have a massive amount of flow in the prop system. Higher light takes that soft green and makes it a more crisp white green in my experience with this particular acro
