If it counts encrusting, maybe. My acros coat the rocks before they start to branch, these days (probably due to the stupid high flow in my tank)
That is an interesting thought... Do we always measure measure up from the plug? Or does encrusting growth downward get to be accounted for... I have a mix of both in my tank. I have one milli where the original frag hasn't grown up at all but it has encrusted significantly and has new growth tips rising out of the encrusted areas...

Rulers are in gang. It's funny the simple thing that can make me happy but these things turned out awesome. I mean I am a real Dork when it comes to stuff like this!

Everyone gets one and from now on everyone will all be totally uniform in measuring, and look good while doing so ;) if I do say so myself.

This sounds like fun and I'm usually down for a competition, but it might be expensive for "Marshall's first acro"...
Im in the same boat.. picked up a few different sps from the RVA show just to see if they would immediately die! Sofar so good...

stay tuned my friend. We seem to have settled into doing at least 2-4 individual grow outs every year. will definitely be more opportunities get involved in the future once you get your "feet" wet.

I once had someone at the lfs suggest a fish that would get beat up and killed in my tank. Hwen I said it would die, he responded "that's fine. You can come back and I'll sell you another one."

Adam, you offer the opposite sentiment: "let's care about the success of what you buy."
