40 ppt is very high. Did you double check?
I just checked when I got home from work today and it was right on 1.030. It's definitely crept up over the last 5 months of me not checking with water changes but it hasn't caused me any losses or issues to have high salinity so I haven't thought to check it. Adam had a thread ~5 years ago with a number of people in the 1.029 / 40ppt range, and I believe he used to keep his corals around 1.029. He can speak up if he still does, but I'm honestly not concerned about the 40ppt. I wouldn't mind lowering it a bit over the next month or two but I'm more in the "don't change it if it's working" camp.

hope cm is ok.

+1 for polyp extension in the bag.

Super glad I order an addon. Adam shipped some really cool stuff!

Had to turn off all power heads to keep the ruler from being blown around

Will edit with parameters later.
