March check in, no use for a ruler, i am about 99.99% sure this thing is dead, along with all my others SPS. Sorry my tank is super bipolar. Another hobby i have start and failing at.

@StatelineReefer
March check in.
tank transfer went well, it’s been in the new tank along with everything else now for 2 weeks. I’ll post my parameters from the last test 4 days ago. And par is currently at 190 as I’m still ramping up the lights from the tank upgrade.

Man that stinks but I’ve been there. Don’t give up. I checked your previous threads and it looks like you’re still in the first year. I am just now 2 years into this hobby and up until a few months back 99% of my acros died. I didn’t find “success” ( another term for not killing them) until every time I tested, my parameters were the same as the last tests.
Also correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re using AI prime lights right? I started with them also and once I bought a par meter, I realized that I was barely 100 par at the top of my rocks… but to my unknowing eyes, I thought it was much more intense. I slowly increased my intensity from 60% roughly to 90% and added another prime. This was over a waterbox 65.4 aio. So a little wider, but probably not much different on height.

I started doseing AFR when i had low 7dKH i think i spiked ALK. Forgetting about the few days it takes new bacteria growth to consume it.
The only thing I'm not terrified to change for the next year is my filter floss... And thats just a PITA...

Those of you with par meters or already know from previous testing…. If you don’t mind sharing, what par level are you aiming for on this coral?
I am currently at 190 and increasing slowly. I upgraded tanks and have adjusted my lights and looking for a target.
I’m thinking 250-300 should be my end point?

@StatelineReefer here is March's so I dont forget..

tank overall is not doing the best... just back from a week trip and kiddo's "handled" so not 100% sure what all is good/bad/ugly, but this guy is hanging on at least! I do see a bit of growth, so hoping I don't kill it!

sal = 1.024 (reads a bit low pretty sure… the water they arrived in was the same reading so I should be good to go)
Alk = 8.45 trident (went up a bit so thinking most of my mystery box corals didn't like :eek:()
Cal = 461 Trident
Nitrates = 100 at least STILL.... (freaking bane of my existence lol)
Mag = 1357 trident
Temp = 76.8 apex
