I am about 3 months into this Tank. I have had saltwater and freshwater tanks for most of my life. My last two saltwater tanks was a nano reef and an aggressive fish with Zebra eel. I moved and gave all my tanks to friends. This current set up is a dream come true. I spent 4 years living in Mexico, and love all things Day of the Dead. I have much cultural artwork in the house. I wanted to build a very ominous looking tank for eels and some reef creatures and a black dog face puffer. This is a 120 Gallon custom with the sump on inside.
Setup:
300watt Aqua Light system
Bubble Magus Curve 5 Protein Skimmer
Aqua Maxx Bio Pellet Reactor and Cheeto Algae Reactor

Eels: Brazilian Banana and Zebra ( 12” eachish)
Fish: Cardinal(2), Damsel(2), 6line Wrasse
Misc: Large Brittle Star, Live rock Sea Urchen, Cleaning Crew.

My latest You tube upload, as I will continue to show its growth, is:

I'm usually not a fan of artificial objects in a reef but this is very well done and it looks great!

Very unique. You do need the eel to slither out an eye socket that would be very cool !

Thanks, I’ve known several whom are against anything artificial( colored gravel etc..)

I've thought about doing something similar with a sunken ship but didn't think I had the money or patience to pull it off. After seeing yours and the cave build I think I may reconsider for my next tank

Wow, now that is really cool! I’ve been on many forums for many years looking at other peoples tank builds and ideas and admiring them. This is by far the most unique one I’ve ever come across. Very well done. Love the way you have everything balanced in there. Just looks awesome! Nice work.
