Really happy with my Stoplight parrot, hasnt touched a thing and probably has put on almost 2 inches so far. One of the bluehead wrasses turned male as well, as soon as I can get some more juveniles I want to add another 5.

Finally got some new pics tonight since the fish didnt feel like digging as much as normal. Accidently spilled a tiny amount of copper in last Monday, killed most of the Xenia but everything else is looking good. Who knows maybe copper can be safely used to control Xenia. Little bit of hair algae hanging on the side but its staying there and receding so not concerned.

They are purple queens, I would have more but my Niger Trigger liked to pick them off when they are first put in, after a day he completly ignores them. Unintentionally I started with a group of 8 males, one was killed immediately and I lost 1 more after about 3 weeks, the rest eat mysis and pellets now. I have been trying to add females since but they actually seem a little more sensitive than the males. Fortunately male purple queens seem to have nearly no aggressiveness with each other.

Hey there! Just started following your build thread and your tank’s awesome. Wish I could get such a big one like yours. I see you’re a fellow Angelfish fan, and I was wondering from your experience over the years which of the “large” angels, Genicanthus aside, tend to stay smaller in captivity. I love Majestic, Gold Flake, Blue Line and Asfur and you’re one of the few I know who’s had long-term experience with the Asfur. Do any of these get big (7+ inches) in captivity? Thanks. Nice wrasses too. @scchase

(I am looking for growth over 5+ years, if you’ve kept any for 10+ years even better as I’ll have a much better idea if I have one for that long)

Sorry for the lack of updates, crashed the tank coral wise about a year and a half ago after killing all the Xenia in the tank (50ish pounds) and been fighting hair algae since, think I am getting close to getting that back under control again so I can get corals reestablished again. Fish have been doing great overall though I lost all my Anthias to some sort of bacterial infection over about a month period.
