Don't know if I missed it or not what size pvc did you use and how did you do your pvc in the overflow box

I can snap a picture later, I used 1 1/2" with two 45° elbows.

Thanks for the love everyone, going to try to get some new snaps this weekend

@Jstn: I love your tanks ! They are absolutely beautiful ! I am curious though, since you were already at 90 gallons, why did you choose to only go up to the 120 gallon tank ? Why not 180 gallons ? Just curious...
Also, what are you using for flow ?

Interesting questions, well with my 90, I hated the corner overflow and it killed viewing room, the 120 adds another 6" of depth along with the shadow overflow really opened up the tank. the room the tank is in is only 9' wide (1902 house) so a 180 would of killed the viewing or working on the side, and as much as this tank cost a 180 with mp60, bigger sump bigger skimmer and new light would of killed my budget. Also i would of gotten a few large tangs that are not cheap so all and all the 120 was selected. I also love the dimension ratio, similar to a 40 breeder.

Gotcha ! And I agree, the 24" depth makes both the 120 and the 180 the perfect sized tanks. I'm in the process of building a 120 too, but one day, I hope to do another 180 build. (I had one several years ago that I sold due to an out of state relocation).
But you're right - the tank and all the equipment for a 180 would be a whole lot more money, so for now, I'm excited about getting my 120 gallon up and running. I can only hope that mine will look half as good as yours. :)

Well it’s been a minute, ups and downs, lost 90% my sps, had a nutrient problem, dealt with massive cyano from organic carbon and lost a few fish.

Now for the good,!

I got rid of carbon dosing used my second Dos for auto water changes, which has changed my life. Sure the tank is more stable but not having to deal with lugging water and such, my only regret is not doing it sooner!

Also got rid of my cl34 synergy sump for a triton style of sump the synergy ts34. First off I loath changing cleaning and dealing with filter socks, and with carbon dosing they were clogging in a day or two. Secondly, I wanted to grow chaeto, my one 40b 8 years ago was rocking out hard, it had chaeto and since I got away from it I never had the same success. I have been enjoying high ph 8.10 with the windows closed when previously I couldn’t get past 7.8. I am however only dosing two part, not bothering with triton method since I do 1.4 gal of Red Sea coral pro and take advantage of the high calcium and alk for once.

Still running gfo and carbon, was dealing with a minor cyano issue, ultimately I think I will be able to get away from gfo, but not for now.

Also got a couple of frags such as JF home wrecker, Walt Disney and RR Pink Floyd and pink Cadillac.

Also a recent FTS, added doors from barker doors, super happy. Also forgot to thank synergy reef, not only is there stuff super nice and high quality, the design is very functional, I absolutely love the chaeto compartment with lid.

Well my skimmer died, impeller broke after cleaning, very frustrating. It was a vertex omega 180i and also I noticed the cord had a tear where it sits in the body, the wires are not exposed but I’m not taking and chances. Now do I buy a pump or junk it?

Thanks to Adam @Battlecorals for helping me so fast to get a new skimmer. I was tired of the loudness of my previous skimmer and opted for a dc deltec 1000i, kinda pumped to try this out!

Also found my avast ATO magnet was rusting after 4 years so I upgraded
To the Neptune atk, still trying to read up on some of coding one can do, I want to
Figure out how long an average top off last and find a way to sense when the sensor has been closed too long to trigger an alarm. I still have it setup to my avast peristaltic Ato punp with my basement 44 gal brute.

I just got my 1000i from Adam at battlecorals, I recommend him, fast response and great customer service.

The skimmer is much smaller than my vertex omega 180, I almost though I got the 600i. Started it up and already making foam with the pump on the lowest setting (as manual states). Love the self cleaning neck, the drain hose, small foot print and most off all it is silent ! Granted it’s only an hour or so, I am happy thus far.

Well after 7 years my radion g2 pro died, it comes on but shuts off after 5-10 minutes, most likely a driver issue, I decided to upgrade the g2 to a g4pro and place that over my sps. The g3pro got moved to over my torches and upgraded to the wide angle tir lens (had it laying around) so far I really like the spread of the g4 not to mention with the diffuser it’s a nice blacket if light. Down the road I think I’m going to swap out my g3 for a g4.

Love this build and all the wrasses!

Thanks! My new lineatus is doing well, I have had a problem with large nassarius snails (maybe whelks) eating my large trocus snails, while sifting through the sand to find them my black leopard pops out after adding her 2 weeks ago and never seeing her again!

Lets hope she makes it!
