Test your mixed new water and see where its at. You might have had some consumption but you won’t really know unless you know what the baseline is.
Finally got back to test my tank and my salt water.

1.025 sg
8.3 pH
7.0 dkh
0.06 ppm phosphate
375 ppm calcium

NSW
1.025 sg
7.9 pH
7.4 dkh
340 ppm calcium

I'm not sure what to make of it. I think the varation in my tank parameters is probably a mix of user error and test error. Except the phosphate which is up due to another week of the tank being fed. It's interesting how far off the salt bag's claims it is.

It other weird news. It looks like we may be growing coralin algea already. I haven't been able to get a good picture of it yet but these are as close as I've got.

My theory is this is due to our tank being used so the coraline just popped up. But the purple on the rocks and blueish purple on the back certainly make me think it's coraline.

We had a massive feeding response from the pectinia this morning. Some of the tentacles are 2" long and seem close to 1/4" is diameter.
