Water change done and skimmer back in action.

I have also moved 1 power head to the opposite side to create a circular flow.
I like it so far... Only to find a solution to hide the cable

I really like your tank. Great job! When will you turn on the Ca reactor?
Thank you.
That is a question I am not sure what to answer.
The reactor set up is prepared and it is only a matter to connect the lines and fire it up.
But as AMS told me that I need at least a daily consumption of 1 dKH a day, I still have some time to go.

I dose now 225ml of the Aquaforest KH buffer. According to their dosing scheme, this would be only a daily consumption 0.6 dkh.

Any how, the correct way to know is by turning off the doser and measure ALK after 24hr.
I will do that in about 2 weeks time as I want to make sure all parameters are good and stable.

In the meanwhile some extra corals will be added which I reserved during the last 2 weeks.
I'll pick them up today and tomorrow.

More to follow...

Nice colonies. Are they wild or mariculture? Looks like you'll need the Ca reactor soon.
Most of them are maricultured.
Some are still brown and I hope they colour up quickly.
And yes, I hope to start the reactor soon.
Wow! Gorgeous! What's the name of the very last one?
Thanks Jackie.
That last one is a acropora abrotanoides.
I think this will not be the final colour. It was added last days and still at the bottom. Very little PE so far.
We will see in the next weeks how it will turn out.

One more new frag.
Picture taken with mobile phone under water, top down.
When looking through the glass, the colours do not come out that much.

For the moment not too many exciting things are happening apart from adding a coral and fish here and there.
I added a small clown tang to the pack which was easily accepted by the other fish except the tomini tang.
Luckily after a 48 hour show stand off, the tomini realized it was enough and now both are easy next to each other.
I know that this tang will probably outgrow my tank but I will be happy to find another one for him later.

2 weeks ago an Aussie and Fiji coral shipment came in and I picked a couple of coral to fill the tank a little more.
Here most coral come in colonies. Frags are to get with the other reefers who not always apply normal rates.
So for now colonies will do.

Name for each coral I do not have. If someone knows any, please add it.

And while I was at it, I tried to take some fish pictures as well. Not always with great success.
I still have to find out how this reef-tank-picture-taking works.

I love the clown tang. Its one of my favorite fish. I like that you now have a built in excuse for a future tank upgrade!

Your tanks looking bloody beautiful at the moment mate!
Some great looking corals in there.
I see you're making good use of the new camera to, Great photos!

Is the skimmer back to normal now that the top off water no longer has the magnesium in it?
