So as of Yesterday I removed all of the sealing. Now it's time for me to remove the brace, which sounds like it will be very difficult. My plan is to try to keep the bottom brace and trash the top brace. The bottom brace is still fine to use as long as I don't break it while trying to get it off. But that will probably happen.

You want something that'll have more than a few years of life. About 15 years back, I got a used 75g that started leaking about six months in. I had to replace it out but quick (with a 90) as there were livestock at risk. Took 2 to 3 days of work and stress. And that is why I shall NEVER buy used again.

New is not a guarantee. Seam failures on the Red Sea product happens with new tanks.

The braces can come off without damaging them. GO SLOW.

Oh, I'm aware. But the odds are more favorable if one buys new. And even more in one's favorite if they go through a company that is known for quality product (e.g. .Glass Cages). It boils down to how much ya want to spend ti ensure greater odds towards success.

So, unfortunately I am not going to continue this build. As I was moving it to the garage, it somehow chipped again. Now it's not worth it to me. Lots of scratches, two chips and a ton of work that would have to be done. I still am going to try to get this to someone who could use it as a reptile enclosure or terrarium. I will still buy a used tank, but one that is in better condition. There are lots of great deals around me, so its tempting...

Watch marketplace. I found mine there. Plenty of great deals to be found if you're not in a hurry

Yup, that's what I am doing! Lots of great people around me who are getting out of the hobby.

Well darn guess we will just have to keep waiting for your epic build when the right tank comes along!
