Since I had a special photoshoot due to request by @TriggerFinger (who is first in line to claim this puppy, though I don't think this puppy has been licked yet by anyone other than her mother Molly ;) ), here is a picture of the lightest golden puppy:
1642001888754.jpeg

It is harder to tell how light she is in coloration when not compared right next to her siblings (especially the dark red ones). She is very light, almost white, and her ears are not very dark, so she should be a very light-colored adult when grown up.

Quick update with no build progress...
Fish in QT are doing well, clownfish is eating and will hopefully put on weight, the tiny foxfaces are not getting along and will need to be separated sooner rather than later or they need a bigger fish in with them to keep them in line.
I may change up the fish in the QT's soon by moving the original 2 Fiji foxfaces down with the 2 larger ones in the sump to have all 4 together for potential pairing (hopefully not causing fights; I'll have to monitor closely), then I could move the 2 tiny foxfaces into the community QT to see if it distracts the dominant one enough to stop the chasing.

Here are 2 videos that I shot quickly before work this morning. Quality is not great and I really need to clean the salt drips from the glass!

Community 75-g QT:

Sump 75-g QT:

...and a quick 3-week-old puppy update: I plan to get individual pictures of each puppy tomorrow, the puppies and Molly go for a visit to the vet this afternoon, the first visitor (and potential adopter) is coming tomorrow to see the puppies (other than family members), and I got an extension added to the kennel to give Molly more room and a space to get away from the puppies at times. I'm looking forward to letting her have freedom to go outside any time she wants as soon as I can be confident she won't relocate the puppies away from the heated area. This extra area will also become a good playpen for the puppies as they get older until the weather is nice enough to let them run around in my fenced backyard.

Molly in kennel addition (she has definitely lost weight through the puppy process, but she's starting to gain a bit back and is still healthy):
1642173647890.jpeg

Puppies walking about in the original nest portion of the kennel (there is a board and a raised carpet edge that keeps the puppies from entering the new large kennel space for now):
1642173714378.jpeg

That's all for now. Hopefully I'll have a better puppy update next week with lots of pictures! Through next week, though, my reef build is on hold due to puppy involvement and house cleaning/remodel work. I hope to be back on this project the following week...

Quick Puppy Update after Vet Visit:
All the puppies each have a different colored collar for identification now, each got a first round of deworming medication, and general health of each puppy and Molly was observed by the veterinarian. I did not get any pictures inside the veterinary clinic, but I got a picture outside the clinic and some pictures of the puppies and Molly after arriving home and settling back into the kennel afterward. The puppies were tired out from all the excitement and went right to sleep after being placed in the warm kennel!

Veterinary Clinic:

The red warming light sure shows up strongly in photographs!

I finally made the decision to keep the lightest puppy as well. That means all 5 females are claimed or are requested for claiming this week.
Individual pictures were taken of the puppies on Saturday

I must admit it is going to be hard to give them up, but it helps that my sister is getting one (she lives with my parents about 5 miles from my house) and I am keeping two.

Here's a pic of my puppy Bailey. She just turned 6 months on Saturday

Bailey is very cute! ...I'm still partial to golden retrievers though! :p

Bella.jpg
Bella looks a lot like a poodle I once knew. She was also named Bella and was white. My aunt trained her in a service dog program and she became a therapy dog in a nursing home.
Bella is an F2 golden doodle, if I'm not mistaken? I do think she is very beautiful!

I've had numerous requests to breed golden doodles, but I'm not too interested.
I like golden retrievers much better (thankfully I'm not allergic), so that is all I have. Though I could cross my goldens to a poodle sire, I'd have F1 puppies that could end up with the excessive shedding capabilities of a golden retriever and the higher neuroticism typical in poodles... not exactly what the majority of people want...

I do understand the reason "doodles" are popular, and my sisters have raised 2 litters of collie doodles. Both litters were sired by purebred white poodles (different sires) with our purebred rough collie dam, and all puppies in both litters were solid black (a few were very dark brown) with some white paw tips and an occasional splash of white on the chest. They definitely looked more like poodles than collies, though they had longer tapering muzzles like collies.

Thanks! Bella is an F1b. Dam was an F1 the sire was a white poodle. She's definitely more poodle, but thankfully she behaves more like a golden retriever!

Oh, that's what you told me before. I'm still learning the generation notation, though it does not matter if I keep breeding pure! It sounds like Bella's heredity is ideal for people with allergies to shedding!
