Its been years since I have done this. Last time I got rock it was wrapped in wet news paper and was a long cycle. Smelly.

This is shipped in water and weighs 285 pounds with water. Freight was high but supposedly better.

Its going in my Reefer 900 (240gal) which was has been full and running for 10 days.

I have120 gallons of RO/DI water made and ready. Plan on using MicroBacter 7

Any tips or advise would be appreciated.

awesome!! I got my rock from KP as well... super happy. Have to ask tho...why in the ever loving world are you putting microbacter in when you spent all that $$$ on the bacteria the live rock comes with?? Unnecessary and counter-intuitive, just sayin, reconsider :) congrats on your quality purchase. Sounds like an exciting build!

I somewhat regret not doing their recommended high salinity dips with my KP rock to try and evacuate any gorilla crabs. Now I don't want to fuss with my aquascaping, but it's a pain trying to trap them.
I did the high salinity dip and still found some afterwards, some of them went deeper into caves instead of vacating during the dips.

My 130 gallon arrives Thursday...been going back and forth between KP aquatics or Gulf Live Rock. I'm looking forward to your review and aqua scape.
