DISCLAIMER: THIS 125 TANK IS STILL RUNNING. HOWEVER, I won an ESHOPPS Mariner 70 so I'm going to have a build for that and don't want to lose this one. This is still my main build thread until I decide it's not?

Sounds like a nice build! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I've got two tanks in the garage. Just got the sump today but I'm heading to Utah in a couple days for an archery tournament for my kids, so I'm setting it up and leak testing when I get back!

Just realized that I need an overflow box. When I was at the shop yesterday they had Medium for $40 and Large for $50. I guess I'm making a trip back to Tempe - 45 minutes if traffic is good (which it never is). The good news is, they close 2.5 hours after I get off work so unless there's an accident (which there usually is) I shouldn't have any problems getting there before they close. I may just take the scenic route.

So is the 125 the lobster tank or a different one? I guess I could go back and read the other thread. Good luck to the kids at the tournament.

Different! The lobster was a 110. It's listed on OfferUp.

Lobster wasnt working out?
My wife decided that a 60" by 30" tank was too big. We had two 125s in the garage so we're going with one of those instead.

That sounds like the 135 I am looking at!! The LFS I go to (about as far of a drive as yours) has a 135 in stock, but it is not drilled. I was talking to one of the girls there today and she said they could order me one that is drilled for an additional $100 per overflow (I want duals)

The stock tank is $499, They didnt have a stand and I forgot to ask pricing on that. So add $200 for the overflows and probably $200 for a stand and I'm out the door for under $1000.

Of course add in the cost of the sump, or sump building kit plus tank, a couple more lights for the larger tank, a couple more bags of sand and the costs get higher.

What attracts me to the idea though is the MUCH larger footprint. My 55g is 48 x 12 x 22. The 135 is 72 x 18 x 22. That adds 5 square feet of footprint over the 4 I currently have. More than double!!

Even if I go with the standard tank and continue with my current canister filters, It is more than worth it in my opinion.

The 110 is 60" by 30" by 15". It has dual corner overflows and a dual center return. It's basically an all-in-one because you can't disassemble it. It has a 40 gallon sump, a commercial cooler, UV all built in. Dual pane glass with a fiberglass "floor" for the tank.

Just based on what was left on the after-sale, I can guess that the actual live sale was spectacular!! I had a "Blood Red Goni" in my cart, but someone got it before I checked out... I'm a little bummed about that, but happy with what I did end up with. I got the Black Mamba Torch, Blue Smurf Goni, Kermit Alevopora, and Black Gold Branching Monti.

I was looking at that Kermit. Cool looking Alve. They had some insane $1 drops. Torches, Gonis, etc. That Black Alveopora and two Ferrari Gonis, a black torch, and a couple of other torches...
