So after owning many standard sized tanks ive finally decided to build an aquarium that had the footprint that I wanted to play with....not what someone else wanted to play with. The picture i had painted in my mind was to have 3 sides viewable with one big island of rock and a place to set corals on all four sides and to have a very modern looking setup frombtopbto bottom. That being said i went with a rimless/braceless tank measuring 43.5x30.5x24 3 sided starphire with a pvc bottom. The equipment purchased will all be based off of the tank running on a ZEOVIT system. Lighting will consist of 4 Aqua Illumination Sol blue modules mounted to a stainless steel frame. Filtration will be housed in a custom sump built by Melev's Reef measuring 38x24x16 with a main drain/skimmer section and a return section. Skimmer is a Super Reef Octopus 2000 internal cone. The ZEOvit reactor will be a 1.5 liter. Ill have a Neptune Apex running the system that will have the modules to control my AI lights as well as 2 MP40's. The system is actually already running so this is a fast build thread. Stay tuned as updates will be posted often as will growth and development pictures. ENJOY!!!!!

Thanks Capt Nemo i really like the open space that the minimal rockwork provides. Its given me the option to basically place sps corals under any light intensity that they need which is a bonus since im running solely on led power.
