Been patiently waiting for my sky blue orphek bar to arrive, fitted and letting the corals get used to the new additional light.

FTS with newly added orphek Or3 120 sky blue bar in front.

It does give the tank a very cool white look with bluish tinge which il have to get used to. The coral do pop a whole lot more and I'm Interested to see if their colours change with the added blue spectrum.

Some coral pics with the new led added, it does add that cherry on top Look to the LPS corals, I'm interested to see if the corals change colour based on the added blue spectrum.

I have also decided to try an raise nutrients a bit, been sitting at nitrate 1 and phos barely detectable for a while. Just out of interest to see if I get deeper colours. Changed the skimmer timer to go of between 8pm - 6am daily.

With all this unrest looting and attacks on us in South Africa, the tank has taken abit of a knock.

We used one of the plugs for extra lighting needed for security, in the rush forgot to connect the auto top up back on and really didn't get a chance to pay attention to the tank for about 3-4 days.

Salinity went up, some snails died, some blastos and chalice died, some fish died, some SPS has stn/rtn and some hammers and torches are fussed up and closed.

Tank got really dirty in this time with the die off fuelling some algae. But parameters seem to be ok.

Its not a major loss as things seems to be stable now and things can be replaced and will recover.

So with all the drama that passed, Ive been cleaning up and trying to get things back on track. The biggest issue was dead snails from the salinity swing which caused a big GHA outbreak. Slowly cleaning that up.

In the mean time, took out some random pics as this thread needed some positive pics.:D:D:D
