I’ve been looking at buying myself 2 160g water tanks for salt and rodi water. Shipping these tanks is quite expensive, although not quite as expensive as I was quoted from another company.

If we can/ would anyone else be interested in a setting up a group buy.

Here is the tank I’m looking at 160g, 28” diameter, 66” tall, with the 16” lid option for making cleaning a bit easier. I like this size because it will fit through almost any doorway, and if you have an 8’ ceiling height you can place it on a platform high enough to have room to fill 5 gallon buckets and still have room between the top of the tank and ceiling.

The Tank price is $256 each with the 16” lid option

Shipping for 2 was about $60 each. groups of 4 have the best shipping rates. 4 tanks was around $40 each to ship. 6 was around 50, and 8 was back to 40. Most likely it’s 4 tanks on a pallet. On Orders over 5 tanks we can get a small discount on price for a bulk order.

There is a tank dealer out in apache junction that sells all kinds of water storage tanks. Also you can get them from Tractor supply. No shipping and good pricing at both places.

I got my vertical 55g from the Tank N Barrel. But I got it before I knew Tractor supply carried tanks. So I got my 65g from TS.

@CasaReefer Is this something you can get here locally?
I haven’t seen Scott online much so not to step on his toes but try to answer your question the best I can. Last online date was in March.

Allot of the Tractor supply dealers have various tanks in stock. When you click on the tank you want, you can ”click availability” and it tells you what stores has that item. I got my vertical storage 65g tank from the avondale store. Not sure if they can order one in for a customer that would normally be stocked. Also, I called the store to verify the tank was there.

I’m sure Scott can answer that when he sees your question.

Oh, I forgot to mention there is a Tank dealer in Black Canyon just off I-17. I have only seen it as I drive by it.

I’ve checked out the Apache junction place, they don’t have that particular size I’m looking for listed on their website, And tractor supply doesn’t have a tank in that dimension either. I looked around a lot before I settled on this particular tank mostly for the size - it’s around the biggest tank you can fit through almost any household door. And the 16” lid for easier cleaning.

Fitting through the door is an excellent reason to get it. Also, I’m not trying to persuade you just sharing info in case you didn’t know about those options.

Good Luck

I don't know how easy it would be to clean these out to make them safe for water, but these are $50

Looks like the link is not working, but search 275 gallon storage container tanks on FB Marketplace and you should be able to find it.

There is also a tank place in Tempe. I bought a couple of norwesco 105 gallon tanks from them.
