Hello everyone my name is Anthony I’m 24 years old and getting back into the hobby after getting out of it 10 years ago when I used to reef with my father. I’m currently cycling an 18 gallon AIO which is in its third day of cycling. My father and I always had tanks over 100 gallons so the Nano and AIO scene is new to me and wondering what all your thoughts are on how my cycling is going so far and how’s my approach? My final goal is to keep my bio load low with fish currently have the Storm clowns, want a tail spot blenny, and maybe a small six line for pest control but maybe something else flatworms terrify me so anything else than a six line that can work for this setup really don’t want a six line aggression in a small tanks? I want to do a mixed reef with softies, LPS, and maybe one or two SPS like a monti in the future also want to add an Rose bubble tip for my clowns I’m a clownfish person forsure haha.

This is my setup so far:
- AIO Aqua Japan 18 gallon:
overflow (1st compartment) compartment: is the black filter sponge that is stock and fills the whole first compartment

Middle compartment: Filled about halfway with live rock estimated 2-3lbs. I plan on adding a bag of chemi pure blue once tank is done cycling.

Last Compartment: stock return pump and 50 watt Titanium heater set at 78F

-Lighting: AI prime16HD (lights off during cycle)

-Flow: Stock return pump and Nero3 set at random flow max speed 40% min speed 20% with high variance.

-Cycling process:
Added 10lbs caribsea Fiji pink live sand

20lbs Carib sea life rock

4.5 pounds Branching live rock and two
random live rock islands in sand bed

-Dr Tim’s one and only:

4/28/21 Day 0 added dr Tim’s 8am prior to clownfish at 4pm

8.0 Ph

Ammonia 0 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate 0 ppm

4/29/21 Day 1: 24hrs after dr Tim’s with 2 clownfish

8.0 Ph

Ammonia 0.25 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate 5.0 ppm

4/30/21 Day 2: 48hrs after dr Tim’s with 2 Clownfish

8.0 Ph

Ammonia 0.50 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate 5-10ppm???

5/1/21 Day 3: 72hrs after Dr Tim’s with 2 Clownfish

8.0 PH

Ammonia 0.50 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate 5-10ppm???

Clownfish are getting feed about a quarter cube of mysis once a day.

Also wondering what this little polyp is in my middle compartment where I keep the live rock? Thank you all for your time I appreciate it especially if read to the end!
