Both are great sizes to begin with. If you like the thought of fish not only swimming side to side but also up and down, go with the 30inch height. Viewing wise 30inch is beautiful! But be prepared to have to reach your arm way down when working on the reef and sometimes it will get very frustrating. Unless you’re 6’10. Haha
Both have pros and cons but both are great sizes at the end of the day.
I love my 210. I'll take the reaching issues for that tall glass front and more ability to create height in my 'scape.
Added bonus, I can catch frags mid-fall with grabbers these days. They are like my second arms these days since I can't even touch the bottom. [emoji23]Hello FarmerTy, I have to agree with you. That taller front glass is beautiful and definitely can make for better scape methods.
[emoji23]Hilarious!
This was me before my 215 gallon.
I had a 28” high tank
As much as the tank looks good visually - it was SUCH a pain to get to the sand and lower corals.
Never again!
Fully agreed. Never had a problem keeping my glass clean with my Flipper Max. Gluing frags was easy using metal tongs and epoxy. I just created a sandwich of superglue, epoxy, and then superglue and push it against the rock with the metal tongs and it was done. I didn't even have to hold it there as the superglue set quickly and then the epoxy hardened shortly after for the extra strength. If you do go the tall tank, if you get the flipper magnet you should be able to clean the front with ease.
Just fyi 72*24*30 is 225 gallons. 210s are 27.5in tall....
