i had my LFS built a stand for me, they made the stand with all 3/4 plywood. (the owner told me it will be made by 2x4 with plywood on outside at the beginning)
My acrylic tank size is 72x24 , the stand size is 73x24.5 (they put the cabinet together with nail instead of screw)
I didn't check the interior of cabinet until I brought it home.
now I am curious will the stand strong enough to hold the tank. below is the pic of stand

Well they put the grain the wrong way. Take a piece of plywood and you can bend it with the grain not against it.

I must agree.........That wood grain is wrong and really stands out. But I am a wood shop guy. What did they charge you? They did a nice job and it looks nice. The grain will drive me nuts and the piece above the doors was scabbed in and that drives me nuts too. Strength wise you are good to go. It will hold your tank.

They asked $650, i said okay. I pick it up myself with my truck.
I just found out the crack on the back. Will it affect the weight holding?

If you do a google search on the strength of plywood, you will be amazed how strong it really is. I normally use 11ply plywood, but honestly it will hold your tank.

however.......I would kick him in the balls for messing up the grain

From a strength perspective, stand will be fine. Plywood is cross grained so it is an aesthetic rather than a strength issue. I personally much prefer plywood stands versus dimensional lumber; they’re mush more stable.
