Well, it’s been a while I’ve stayed busy working and maintaining my 75g tank. Lost my favorite timor wrasse- possibly to uronema. It’s finally time!!

This will be the official start of my 180g SPS dominant build. I went to a LFS, and bought a used tank new stand and sump. The owner was supposed to get the tank ready to where all I had to do was ‘attach hoses and secure hose clamps’. Upon delivery he didn’t even bring the drains for the overflow (he did later drop them off in a box at the door) yet alone was the tank anywhere close to just attaching hoses and securing clamps- bulk heads aren’t even in the holes! When I expressed to them this is not what we agreed upon and if he wasn’t willing to do the work agreed upon I wanted him to come pick it up- and he refused!
Needless to say I’ve been frustrated!
Now i get to learn how to plumb on a much larger system than I would prefer to!

since the tank was delivered I’ve spent my time doing my homework on plumbing (articles, videos, etc welcome!) and scraping the blue paint off of the back

I have made this it’s own thread as well to hopefully reach as many people as possible, but as I’ve been cleaning the tank I noticed that the bottom brace is bowed out from the glass about 2-3mm. I’m nervous about it holding water as I don’t trust the seller after everything that happened. It’s bowed like that in two places.. once at 2ft across and once at 4ft

I’ve thought long and hard about this system.. Because of my loss of trust in the vendor due to not only our verbal agreement of sales not being upheld upon delivery of the tank, but the completely disrespectful way he acted towards both me and hubby, all while refusing to return the product to give me a refund- I will not be moving forward with this system. I don’t trust it.
So until the first of august this tank will sit here empty. Unless the vendor decides to be decent and issue me a refund since he failed to provide any of the agreed upon installation, and send a couple of employees to pick it up.

Ready to move this thing out of my home and start fresh.
