Since the fish room is connected to the canopy air space, you can vent heat and humidity into that room without impacting the display room.

i wouldn’t underestimate the amount of heat that an enclosed canopy can trap and heat up the tank. I had to remove my canopy lids to allow air to escape, but My fish room isn’t connected directly to the tank airspace as yours is. I think that gives you some good options to control the heat and humidity.

Fans and a dehumidifier unit I’m thinking

considering lids on display and sump to combat humidity too.

Something akin to or actually a bathroom fan might work well.

I’m very happy that fishroom and display are sharing same air and not open top with air going all over display room.

I was really worried about it affecting my hvac systems in my brand new house. Hopefully a 3000 sq ft dehumidifier does the trick for both rooms. I want to have drain plug go straight into floor drain in hvac room so I never have to empty dehumidifier.

I don’t know what kind of heater I’m gonna need and hopefully all this Deltec equipment warms water enough with lights and canopy. Anyone have input on this?

Deltec seems like great choice.

TMC if you can get commercial size is a great choice as well as Pentair. I assume you are talking U.V.

You will get some heat from the U.V., lights, and pumps. Just wait until you have everything set up and test temp cycle without heater. You might end up needing a chiller.

U.V I was thinking pentair or aqua ultra with ozone and uv combo. Not sure yet, but this system will run with uv/ozone too.

The Deltec equipment that’s on its wayis rated for 1500 gallons + on everything. I ordered everything the largest size they offer online.

Sink for fish room

Stairs or ladder to jump in tank, canopy is fully enclosed. Access to tank will only be thru rear of tank. It’s a huge tank so I can walk and crawl around for maintenance and coral care.

Wow, hadn’t realized that you weren’t going to be able to access the tank from one short end.
