so if 14” is 400 gallons, I wonder how much 28” filled will be around 800 gallons? So that would mean 72 gallons accounts for my rock, sand, and internal overflow acordind to brs calculator.

Your rock is almost covered so the estimate may be higher than 800. I can't guess the difference though.
Really? I know water pressure is very low here, builder told me that was by design to save water consumption.

Anyone else feel guilty making this much rodi water? I watered my plants with waste water about 2.5 gallons that took about 2min to fill. Smh
I've thought a couple of times about capturing it for the garden or laundry. I have no idea how people add it to the laundry machine though; pumping to a rain barrel wouldn't be hard.

You need some barstools so you can belly up to that bad boy.
Great idea especially since the cats are already walking the ledge, they can sit and watch like civilized little wild beasts. Im sure my glass is gonna be scratched soon with the fish in there.

Curious as to the difference in performance, noise etc. of the Deltec‘s and Jeabo’s
That’s a great question I’ll throw deltec in the water and test it out, the Jebao is loud and I can hear it when it was in display months ago testing them out, they do push a ton of water and heard they are bulletproof dc pumps…..the lcd screen of one of the pumps failed the first time I used it.

Pump still works you just can’t see the percentage of power the pump is currently r

the work around would be to use the app only and control it like that so not a total loss.

price difference is huge

250 compared to 1450

the jebao pumps move water and will be used in fishroom feeding uv and other equipment, probably even closed loop above the tank.

the deltecs will be used for returns and possibly closed loop

What do i do if my magnet cleaner is too strong, I can barely move it. Don’t want to damage glass or anything like that inside or out. It moves with microfiber towels, maybe spray with vinegar and water solution and get the towel wet to easily glide across glass?

it’s starting to look like something now. It should be finished filling tomorrow morning hopefully. I might have to stop the fill if it’s not finished by the time I leave for work in the am.

Tank is filled, it’s cloudy cause I just added 3 bags of salt. This morning the Hanna checker read 1.017 so I added the last bag of third box of salt and added two more bags of the fourth box of salt.

looks like I’m going to turn off all lights now that tank is filled with saltwater. I will have two bars of actinic 410-480nm on at sunrise and off at sunset through the cycling process. I will add some copepods and starter stuff from algae barn next week, and start dosing the bright well quick cycle bottles micro bacter xlm & micro bacter clean.

So far everything is running smooth and the tank is dead silent (love that)

Copepods can tolerate high levels of ammonia?
Depending on the method of cycling, the low volume of rock compared to water volume and overall size of the system, there may not be a lot of ammonia.
