I’m liking the setup. If I had the space I’d go big like you. My build is slow so far. You’ll have to let me know how you get along with the Kessils. I am using 5 for my 80” rimless. Also, let me know how you like the 992. I’m hunting a 964 Targa to pair with the gated R8.

Had a lowboy running and added Clown tang last week. That’s about it on the reef front. Progress is slow

On a non reef related front, my car is finally built and making its way across the Atlantic as we speak! Very excited!

Nice ride- get a powder blue or pacific tang to compliment that zooom zooom!

I only built this house for the tank, lol. True story!

I’ve been using two of the kessil 500’s mounted on the ceiling since they came out last year with tremendous coloration. I love them, better than my g5 radion blue Xr30.

I wish I would’ve bought my buddies 964 in 2004 for next to nothing. This 992s is replacement for my 997.2 4s. I love gated anything

I imagine a bunch of us have those stories of late, with the car market where it is. I ordered my current car about 3 years ago (M2 Comp), and I've had multiple offers for more than I paid for it recently. But I don't know what I'd replace it with, so I've no reason to unload it.

I’ve been using two of the 500’s for about a year or so I’m thinking. I replaced a 400w halide. The other half of the tank is still lit with a 400w Radium. I tried to match the light output color by eye. SPS color is better on the Kessil side for sure. Growth is equal.

My car finally came in, thank goodness my boat was first to leave the Emden port and not on the second boat that sank!! Shark Blue has a whole new meaning to me lol. I want to take a moment of silence for all the 911’s deep in the the Atlantic .

Second, I figured out my fishroom situation. I will house the saltwater mixing station under aquarium. I should be able to fit 2 100 gallon water tanks and save a ton of space.

I’m working on recessed lighting options now, or scrap it all together and buy the new aquatic coral cover fixture. (Plug and play) Not much info out there on them tho.

Are you putting your lights IN the ceiling? Have you considered the Amazonas from Orphek? They may be perfect if you want them high up above the tank.

Depends if it’s easy to fish wire through the ceiling. I’m wondering how hard it would be to extend kessill cords and ballast cords to route everything back to fishroom. Anyone know if you can extent those cords or extensions?

Anyone know the name to this yellow tipped adapter for the kessil A500X is called? I need to extend that about 10’ or 15’… I would need a double sided extension one to fit yellow adapter and other to fit fixture.

You could install a junction box with an outlet inside the ceiling and just plug it in. Probably less of a hassle.

Lol you should actually take a picture of the plug so people can identify it. How many pins? Male or female…
