Clean up Crew arrived today, well part 1

Picking up my first test frag for the tank either tonight or tomorrow, this guy is about 3 miles door to door so might have to see what else I can walk out with

Going back to an older picture so I can see the layout of the rock wall, due to the lack of space I think that I might have to mount corals in this tank from the bottom up, currently eyeing up that lower ledge on teh right hand side for the first placement of a cap

Well picked this up today, "I listed that a couple months ago and forgot" is my greeting at the door

I'll give it a few weeks and then see if I can trade it in at the LFS for a green. Was looking at the frag in the car (while in stationary traffic) and was figuring out how to remove the plug.

Went alright still got two nice pieces and some little bits that I'll throw in the RSM for Pele

So it seems that the Monti is a goner.

Tested my Water last night and my Phosphate has spiked from 0.03 (monday) to 1.0 (tuesday), fairly certain that I have lost the hermit and stomatella's, nitrates have remained stationary at 5ppm

Plan is not get caught in the office till 9pm, get home and test phosphate levels of tank and stored RO water. Buy water at LFS, test that f*cker too. Scrub, scrub, scrub. Perform water change to reduce phosphates

Can't quite get a photo of this snotty algae, it has a tan/browny red base, bubbles seem to form and get stuck near the base mat of the algae or lower third and it has these incredibly long, fine white hairs

And yes the plastic base has bowed, making it lean

Not sure but that could be dinos.

I will try cures for Cyano first, so manual scrub and removal and 3-5 day blackout/wrap of tank
Fairly certain that my flow is adequate,since i added a second pump
Will see if anyone nearby can do me a silicates test (not paying LFS price)

Hi, thanks. Currently I don't have a Pico in the Office. I have the Red Sea 130D , it was a stealth install, set up and fill (I had a set of keys) now its too heavy to lift so it's staying!

I do miss having a Pico here too

I dont suppose that you know of anyone near you that is looking for a Clarkii Clown? I'm helping a friend with a tank close down tomorrow (i'm taking the coral scraps and some equipment like RODI etc) but really struggling to re home his Clown. I dont want to take it to my LFS, not the biggest fan of that place at the moment and can't keep it as I have a pair of tank bred and my tank too small for a mix of species

Need to tidy my desk and surrounding area, just done fortnightly water change
