So I had to run some errands and was going by the lfs so I dropped off my water to sanity check it for me just so somebody else would check it other than myself. And OMG I have some phosphates.

I haven't been dosing anything the last 4 or 5 days either. I also took the water sample about 20 minutes after I had fed. So I wonder if I am just having phosphates but I'm just using it in consumption and maybe when I was dosing it was raising them too much.

Mg was lower than I expected but that's no problem. I'll bring it up a little bit. But the really neat thing is they had a long tentacle plate coral on display that I had never seen this thing was probably a foot in diameter and had probably 12-in tentacles. I was like do you have any of these for sale and they have one that is about 3 in in diameter currently that's a long tentacle. I'll be going back to get it tomorrow I think.

Be careful, as much as they look amazing (one of the best looking in my opinion) almost all heliofungia are wild and do really poorly in captivity. I've seen very few people able to keep them longer than 6 months.

.02 is perfect phosphates. Your parameters are on the money. .2 would be an issue, but looks good. Heliofungia (long tentacle plate corals) are really cool. They can sting other things and plate corals can move themselves slowly, so they have to be on the sandbed or they will fall off the rock work.

That is very good to know then! I don't want anything that moves in the tank at the moment. And if they don't do well in captivity usually, I'll steer clear for now. That's all I need, some LFS coral going rouge and stinging all our amazing SBB corals lol

Here's some updated pictures from this evening also! Everything is nice and hairy and expanding well. Didn't get pictures of everything, the ones in the back are harder to get.

Man how cool would it be if toadstools came in colors like torches. IMO the shape of them is so much better but just not a lot of variety. One of my favorite corals. I have two long polyp japanese ones growing out right now, can't wait until they are huge
This is my toadstool. It’s one my favs.

.02 is low. That can zero out in a day. N03 at 2 is low too. If the sample was taken after feeding its probably reading .02 because of the food. I would bump those numbers up to be safe. I'm usually about .08ish but if I test within 20 or so minutes it will read .12ish.

Place called Saltyunderground. Never ordered from them. But I'll find out on the 4th how it goes. Bought myself Nudibranchs to arrive on my bday ...lol We got a file fish but he prefers the polyps on high end sps...now he's banished to live with his jerk of a friend clownfish.
I have got nudis from there before. I had no issues and they were all alive.
