Is that a 20L with a Reef Mat 250?

It's a 40 gallon breeder with a reef mat 500. It's over kill I intended on building it so I could put a 125 gallon DT on it ( I got the 75 gallon DT for cheap) but after starting the plumbing I'm not looking to upgrade any time soon.

I’m using a UNS 60U tank as sump in the reef aquarium I’m working on starting up. I opted for a baffle less design using coarse foam to separate the refugium section. Has a ReefMat 500 in it for mechanical filtration, and a tap from my return manifold to control the flow of water through the refugium. I am starting to consider replacing the foam divider with an acrylic baffle to help maintain a higher water level in the refugium, so I can run the water level lower in the ReefMat to help a bit with efficiency.

This is the best pic I have of how the return pump is setup. It’s sitting on top of a MarinePure plate for some added bio media.

If anyone was confused by how this reef aquarium looks like it is setup as a freshwater system, the live sand I ordered from TBS wouldn’t arrive until late January, so I setup this aquarium to house my cichlids temporarily to help me test and work through all of the plumbing and wiring issues now. Has the added benefit of giving me a chance to move things around later when I reset the system for saltwater, since I will have to drain everything anyways to make that happen.

I always look forward to seeing some of the great systems on here. This my 200 gallon sump. First chamber has 6 7” diameter filter socks, 100 micron. 2 nd chamber is dedicated to a protein skimmer and when I need to run gfo I use this chamber as pictured. The back of the sump is a separate chamber for cheato and I added an ATS which sits on the top. Not the prettiest or cleanest, but ii am happy with it.
