Still fighting dinos a little bit, nutrients bottoming out and havent been testing regularly but getting back on track same thing happening in the 120 right now too, but both are rounding the corner.

Lights out about to come on at 11

Placed a cali tort and green slimer need to epoxy down and probably add a strip light in the back and lower the ap9x intensity. Dinos still hanging on..

These dinos are putting up a little fight but definitely losing the battle against me lol, im almost convinced the 24/7 uv sterilizer for months didn't help and could have hurt a little, I'm not sure if it didn't weaken some good bacteria, either way it's turned off and not coming back on for a while, I need to rebuild/clean it anyway.

Here's the tank:

A little update dinos are gone, a little gha now, icp test back with great results, ill post them up.

Messing with lighting also I have been trying to get the shadows minimized I tried a reefbrites light with no success, so I wound up getting a 24" t5 combo with the Kessil ap9x, like my other system im running two actinic and two blueplus lamps, I have it up about 10" off the surface, and I am acclimating it at only running a few hours a day and lowering ap9x intensity at the same time, it will take a few weeks to mess with, not using a par meter :) I also have some black acrylic coming to wrap the fixture and conceal the light.

Work in progress

Not to much going on in this tank this week, I did get the light almost finished nothing fancy, all function. There's a bit of turf algae and other mixed algae hanging on but it's real weak and losing color, dinos are gone. All the coraline algae on the abs died and is coming back I really put a bump in the road letting the nutrients bottom out in this system im surprised how quick it went downhill, but now it's on it way back, so I've put coral additions on hold and all new stuff on hold until it levels out, so far its having a good come back.

How did you let it die? What causes coralline to die?
From low nutrients for too long I assume. See the brown sections, its paper thin and very weak, it disintegrates when you touch it, I've been breaking it up and sucking it out. New growth is all over the bottom, and the dead stuff is pealing up.

Tank is looking good I have been lowering light intensity, par was way to high 8-900 high on some spots, I've been lowering it a little so that should get better with time.

Dinos have been getting better, and coraline algae is starting to grow back, still has some turf algae on new rock, but it's struggling to survive.

Started dosing reef moonshiners elements 9/3/22 along with the 120g.

So beautiful! The tank looks awesome and it’s only upwards from here!

What do you use to take your photos? It’s very professional quality.

My phone is all I have, galaxy s22 in pro mode but, sometimes the iso and speed doesn't match up good with the light intensity at that particular time and angle. Thanks for the compliments :)!

Tank is doing good starting to level out and alk consumption is going up dinos are gone completely, now just a little red turf algae that came in on LR, its getting weaker but it will be some time for it to be gone.

Sent in icp today i haven't done a waterchange since last test. Overall everything looks good visually.
