Hello,
My 220gal 7.5ft long custom mixed reef tank 1year old.
Now I have:
2 ocealaris clown fish
1 fire fish
1 azure damsel
3 green chromis
3 cooperi anthias
1 chelmon rostratus
1 midas blenny
1 melanurus wrasse
1 yellow wrasse
1 bristletooth truncatus
1 convict tang
1 hepatus tang
1 fox face
18 fishes now

I still want more fish, I want to add all types of tangs so can i add Naso tang and desjardini sailfin? I know they grow very big so maybe too big for my tank? and will look weird? Maybe better purple tang better ? But i guess they are more aggresive?
Also always wanted to add :
blue throat trigger
Mandarin fish
Hawkfish
And still thinking about sand siftiny gobies?
Any tips what can I add or maybe avoid or better options? Want naso or desjardini to control bubble algae little bit. Or maybe better more small fish instead naso and desjardini?
Dont like overcrowded tanks.

How’s your nutrients? Do you have any issues with high no3 or po4?

I think you could add the fish you want if your tank can handle the extra nutrients.

the trigger may be a mean fish lol. I’ve seen them be a bully in the past.

if you add tangs- best to add them all at the same time to reduce aggression among the tangs.

the sand shifter goby I like- but be prepared To clean sand off the lower corals in your tank.

also I would love to see a photo of your tank lol

Hard to say if you can add more fish, I think it all comes down to compatibility and how you want the look of your tank (assuming it's well cycled and can handle the extra bio). I don't think you would have much of an issue adding some of the smaller fish as long as they have enough space to hide and do their thing while they get adjusted. As for adding the bigger fish like the naso or desjardini you can always try and get some on the smaller side and then give away fish if you feel the tank is getting too crowded as they grow. A photo might be helpful to see how the tank looks at the moment.

As for the bubble algae if you are worried about space there are some inverts like emerald crabs or tuxedo urchins you could add that wouldn't take up much space and would help out with algae control. I don't think you currently have any fish that would really both inverts. Just a thought.

Yeah I recently added tuxedo and two emeralds i guess i need a lot of time to see if they help. My nitrates were about 5-10ppm and phos 0.1 so now i got cyano bloom so started dose dyi nopox to reduce phos to 0.05 and also have prepeard potassium nitrate if no3 will bottom out faster than po4. Now i am on my way yo balance nutrients and get rid of cyano. Filtration I have is refmat 1200, uv 36w(going to change to 55w) octopus elite 200 skimmer now runing pump on 3level, refugium with live rock and some weeds wich not growing as I want them to grow.Thinking about turn off refugiu ant later make it frag tank while my main drain goes in one side and other durso drains goes in to refugium and my return pumps are in the center. Also have Few maxscpect blocks.
I want to finish adding fishes and start loading with corals .

Me adding new fish always come to and end due to compatibility/aggression long before physical space/filtration. You have plenty of room.....just have to come up with fish that will get along with the new additions.
