I have my build thread posted in the members section. But thought I would add the aquascape also for those wanting to see different ideas.
Here is what I did using Marco reef saver, shelf & foundation. I also used the Marco E 400 cement which holds amazing. For some pieces I would super glue them first then apply/wedge the E-400 into spots where it was difficult to see but secure the pieces. I know it will be eventually covered in coralline but wanted to try and give a seamless look. For the shelf’s I would place either a plastic cup or bucket to hold in place for A few hours or overnight. I made the big scape into 3 sections so I could lift them into the tank easier. The cement holds that good once It’s dry! I put all the assembled scape into 55 gallon drums with saltwater, heater & powerheads for 6 weeks. I added Dr Tim’s ammonia and Bio Spira to cycled the rock while I was waiting for my tank to be built. Every few days i added a few drops of ammonia to keep the bacteria thriving.
I just dropped the rock into the new tank and everything is reading zero. I will give it a day or two, add more ammonia and check again.
Hope you like the scape & hope this helps!
