I managed to get most of it off the glass. Didn’t even remember that my substrate was white. o_O

I’m waiting for the RO/DI system to get finished filtering the water, so I can add salt, and fill er’ back up!

Can always get a tuxedo urchin, they are really fun!! Do research if you want one though, they need a good acclamation, and are sensitive to salinity swings. Emerald Crabs also help.

Eventually to clean the glass you will need to use a razer blade.

Do you plan on keeping that fake anemone in the tank?
Once I get live coral, I will mostly likely remove it.

I am planning on getting some hermit crabs, hopefully they will help!

I do really like urchins, so I may look into those.

Me personally hate hermit crabs. They kill your snails and each other. Make sure to keep them fed or they will turn into savages. They are coral safe and fish safe.

Coral safe as they will not kill coral. They will however upset and irritate Coral constantly.

DANG, I didn’t realize they were little beasts! Maybe I should stay away from them, and get more snails? o_O;Nailbiting

It’s really up to you. But don’t get mad when they kill a snail or each other. Or decide to sleep on your coral and make it close up, until you stick your hand in there to move it off the coral lol. Getting them won’t damage anything, but snails.

Oh, ok. I think I’m going to hold off for now.

I am planning on getting 1x scarlet skunk shrimp, and some more snails.

The SSS shouldn’t hurt anything, correct?

I don't think so. Soft coral or Lps I think will be fine.
My LFS has a lot of Zoa’s, and I’m really wanting some of those.:cool:

So stay away from hard corals for right now?

They also have this amazing golden torch that is $700. They also have a green hammer XL that is $400.;Bucktooth

Yeah stay away from anything over $25 for the first few months. And all sps. Zoa's sound like the right thing to put in first.
Awesome!

Headed off to my LFS to get the scarlet skunk shrimp, some more snails, and a frag!!

My first shrimp and coral - I’m super excited!!! ;Cat ;Cat

I never drip any of my coral. Just coral RX dip and in the tank it goes. After I get temp right by floating then bag

For the hermit and the shrimp. You can drip them if you want to give them better success. Never seen a hermit die though just getting tossed in after temp is good.

Eh, what’s RX dip? I don’t have any. ;Bucktooth

So should I not drip acclimate? Or should I, because I don’t have any dip?

For the coral I would just get the temp right and get it in the tank. Coral RX dip kills pest. So if it has pest they won’t get in your tank. But too late now.
