Hey all,
Moving my 155gal reef. Looking to move it into my office in our new house. The spot where I want it to go is 72 3/4 inches. The tank, with trim is 72 1/2 inches. I thought I would have a little more wiggle room, but they just hung drywall and that’s all I got.

Thinking about starting to build a stand to get ready for the move. Will have ply on the front, but I don’t think I want to try and add ply on the sides. Even 1/8 inch ply would make it super tight, and maybe not even fit with it.

Not worried about the frame and holding the weight. But a little concerned the front to back stability.
Can I anchor it to studs on the side and back?
Open to other suggestions.

how wide is it, why wouldnt it be stable?
did you measure between the moulding for the stand, it will be smaller then just the dry wall, and tank needs to be supported all the way around. i dont see how you can even lift a heavy tank into those dimentions.
