it all needed a good cleaning. It did not have any hoses or piping, no return pump and no lights.

After a heavy cleaning I was able to set it up and running with parts I had (hose, piping, and return pump) also a cheap wave maker and a gyre I had and was not using

I added a few pieces of bio media plates from main display sump. Built some frag racks with stuff I had.

The racks blew around in the flow so added the one in the front to hold it back, made little holders for top rack to sit and stay on the bottom one. Added some plugs and stuff to weight it down a bit. Also bought a filter sock holder for 9.99 that fits 10 gal. And added that. Ordered some more bio blocks that should be here soon.

this is as far as I’ve gotten so far. I’m on the search for decent inexpensive used lights. But he plan for the tank is for a frag/ grow out tank to take things from and to the main display. And observe corals before they go into DT.

I’m debating: bare bottom, sand, or use something like calcium reactor media as substrate. I like the idea of large substrate in case mushrooms or stuff come loose it will attach to A piece of the substrate to attach to a frag plug. And ideas or suggestions are welcome!

things I wish I did- and may still do: paint back black, drill the return, hard plumb return.
Dream light want list: 24” dimmable aquatic Life hybrid t5 fixture, with 1 or 2 AI Prime 16HD.

thanks for looking! take care and HAPPY REEFING!
