Would like to make this thread here so members will post up water tests results weekly, I find it is best as a accountability to your water perimeters, so others can see out numbers as a reference and as a reminder. Also I do not recommend chasing number stability is key in a thriving reef! #305reefclubsquad

My test this week prior to water change. since my mixing pump died and waiting for the new one :(

Ph- 7.8
Salinity - 35ppt
Nitrate - 2-5ppm
Phosphate - 0.1ppm
Alkalinity - 11.5 DKH

This is a great Idea! I’ll check my water parameters later today and post them in here. We should tag the rest of the members and/or share this page so they use this if they like.

Good drop on alk. Its being consumed AND it should be closer to 9. Keep an eye on it.

78 is actually good on temp. Calcium can go up to around 400 and Alk closer to 9 although 10 acceptable. PH target is 6.0-8.2 but I have lived with 7.8 and stable is more important than target reading.
Nitrates- some chaeto or even mangroves will help bring this down

What alk are you aiming for? I’m shooting from 8-9. I’m currently still at 7
Do it gradually. A little alk is better than none at all

Hmm, my mag is like at 1450 and cal is at 425. i'm going to try and bring the alk a little higher to see what happens. So far i started dosing very little two part in addition to the kalk. after first day no change in levels so increased it by 5ml. I'll see if there is any change today. if not, i'm going to give it another few days before i make any more adjustments.

weekly water test
Ph- 7.8
Salinity - 1.025
Nitrate - 10ppm
Phosphate - 0.25ppm
Alkalinity - 10.2 DKH
Calcium - 450ppm
Magnesium - 1365ppm

found my floss was backing up the flow at the 3day mark vs the usual 4 day floss change, ato added a little more water than normal lowering the salinity.

Performed a 2.5g water change, changed floss, re positioned some coral and cleaned the glass. will retest in a few days to give it time to settle.
