I have a fun update to share! My stand has been completed and everything is getting packed up today!

Here's a few photos which I’m really excited about! Stay tuned for more updates as I should have shipping details quite soon. We are getting mighty close!

Looking awesome congrats.
Glass Cages pack very well. You can easily remove the top to check if there is any internal damage. This should be accomplished BEFORE signing off on the delivery. Les all I can say is if your experience is like mine you will be extremely happy. Best of luck. This is an awesome build.

Thanks so much Dan. I can’t wait to see water in yours, and with that awesome scape!
Mine is getting shipped to my LFS as they prefer to get a jump on some of the plumbing so it’s a bit quicker and cleaner on install day. I look forward to seeing the tank in person and am really glad you are thrilled with yours.

That's very nice. That looks like one of the nicest glasscages I've ever seen.
When is it coming ?

Thank you! I’m with you on that one. The latest version of Glass Cages furniture is really something. They have modern and traditional styles and all kinds of paint colors and stains. I’ve had traditional styles in cherry and gray-wash stains and black stands in the past, but never modern and white, so I’m pretty excited. The elevation of my home is called modern desert and now I’ll have a modern little ocean inside it!
As for arrival, it should be very soon as I was told it’s just a scheduling call away. I feel like I’ll be watching the ball drop at midnight tonight, but inside I’ll really be having my own countdown til the tank arrives!

Modern look is very clean and sleek. Where is this tank going to be installed at?
Thank you!! I’m in Mesa, AZ and it’s going into a bonus room which will be known as “the fish tank room” lol.

The room was actually empty for the 2.5 years I’ve lived here, but recently I picked up some furniture and put up some ocean themed decor so I can really enjoy the tank. I’ve never had a fish tank in its own designated room before, but this time around, I really wanted to have a nice space devoted to relaxing and enjoying the tank.

Here are some photos of the room. First pic is the seating that will be directly across the room from the tank which should be a great distance for viewing and the second photo is where the tank will go, right under that ocean pic that’s pretty high up the wall. There’s one window facing north so I won’t have any direct sun which is great and I have black out blinds if I feel like turning it into a cave.

I have a nice sized pantry, and I’m using a big section for all my fish related stuff which is pretty cool. That’s my 3rd pic. I’m really glad I have porcelain tile floors which are perfect for fish tanks and the inevitable splashes.

Thanks my friend. That was one of my favorite parts about it too. I’ve never had side doors before, but this time I’ve got a regular side door on the left and a hinged controller door on the right. I’ve been pretty weak in the cable management area in the past too lol so there may be some hope this time around.

As things are getting closer to delivery and install, I’ve been playing around with my rock scape. Here’s what I have so far. I’m really enjoying it, despite it being on a couple of low tables.

What do you think?

I thought I would share an update as it’s been almost 3 weeks since the last one.

I decided to make a switch in my powerhead selection and go with Tunze. I have to say Roger @rvitko at Tunze is exceptional and I can see why he is so highly regarded. He was very responsive and a true expert in all areas of this hobby.

I also ordered a new 75-gallon storage container for my RODI water. My old one was only 55 so this will make water changes much easier and quicker as my salt mix station is also 75 gallons.

I played with my rockscape a bit more and thankfully, it’s even better! That’s about it for now as I’m still waiting for the tank/stand to arrive. It should be quite soon so I hope that I’ll be able to share an update by the end of the month with an up and running tank.

I’ll circle back once there’s more exciting news to report. Enjoy the Super Bowl and have a great weekend!!!!

Hi all. It’s been another 3 weeks since my last update. Thankfully, the tank, stand and sump are all at my LFS. Now I’m a week and a half away from install.

I will try to take as many good photos as I can during the delivery and install process. I’m obviously very excited and can’t wait to share my next update.

In the meantime, I’ve decided to run an auto top-off setup from my 100 gallon rodi container to the ato section of my sump. I’ve never automated this aspect before and with such a big volume system, I really will appreciate not having to manually top off my ato chamber. I will absolutely build in redundancy and make sure it’s well laid out.

Wish me good luck coming down the final stretch and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

All the best bud. It has been a long time coming but you are going to be delighted!
