Hey guys, I have had my tank set up for about 5 weeks now. I purchased the coralife biocube 32g tank and built my own stand for it. I put in 30 pounds of live rock from Fiji and caribsea substrate. I never saw a spike in ammonia and I’ve never seen any nitrites. I added a cuc around week 3 and they made short order of the algae. At week 3.5 I did a water change and that brought my nitrates down to almost 0. I added a zoa and some gsp at week 4. Everything seems to be going well. I did another water change a few days after adding the corals and my perameters are great.

Very nice! The only recommendation I have is to swap sides of your powerhead. It's pushing water away from your filter.

Ok! I was told to have opposing flows for LPS corals so I was trying to use the Powerhead and return to create turbulence. Thoughts?

Looks like the start of Cyanobacteria on the sandbed could jut be the pic tho
Ya I kinda get a flare up after I’ve done water changes. I’ve been getting my RO from my lfs and I think it might not be super clean. Just ordered my own ro from amazon.

I had one of my power heads in the same location and then another on the other side creating a gyre flow, I’ve since moved the one by the overflow to the right side glass and have them pushing even closer together and since doing so my gsp has closed up but my Duncan looks huge and extends way out when all my lights are on and the flow is going

Ya I just made up the plan in my head but I put the bottom shelf close to the floor and then I put the top shelf for electronics high enough so I could fit a 5 gal pail on the bottom shelf.

Looking good and welcome! Good looking clown pair. I love the classic ocellaris clownfish. Any ideas on other live stock you plan on adding? Are you thinking softies or more of a mixed reef?

Thanks! I’m thinking of adding a blue damsel and a blood shrimp. And I’m really interested in lps as well as softies
