Tank with sand bed is prone to cyano because u dont have enough flow to the bottom of the tank due to sand storm. There are a lots of nutrients and bad stuff accumulating under the sand. My advice to u is vacuumed as much as u can of the sand then add more flow to prevent stagnant water that will help with cyano. May be u need to do an api test to see your water parameters also your rodi and go from there.

Noticed that the cyano is only on one side of the tank. The side that I feed. I will be cutting back on feeding while watching nutrients. And of course removing as much as I can. Thanks

How if your flow there. Possible that if it is stagnant there that it contributes to the problem. Maybe directly or indirectly aim a power head to address.
