Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro would be a good sub $250 pick. Have a look at the review by Andrew Sink. I would also recommend looking at the comparison article here if you have some particular requirements. If you have the money, go for Prusa MK3. You will get not just a workhorse printer but also a large dedicated community.

I went with the Prusa mini and waited 5 weeks. It's a great starter printer that just works. High quality parts and support.

I'm upgrading to the bigger brother prusa xl
