4.1g Lifegard build

Here are a few update pictures. Didn’t clean the back wall so don’t blast me to hard. Greenbanded goby still going strong. Original boxer shrimp passed about 4 weeks ago I believe to old age or possibly improper molt. Looking to upgrade to a 25-30g looking at the IM 25g Lagoon. I need to test water parameters but I still do 100% water changes weekly.

Unfortunately I got Covid back in June and neglected the tank just because it took me about 2 months to really get over it. Lost my hammers sad about that but back to weekly routine and it’s in a lot better shape then it was.

Started working on the stand for new tank. Goi g with the Fiji Cube 32g or the IM 25g lagoon pro 2. Both AIO and have the same footprint just the Fiji is taller. Building the stand out of scrap aluminum that I have in the shop so glad I’m a high school welding teacher it has its perks. Will clean up the welds and take it to a local shop that does powder coating once it’s all finished.

Pulled the trigger on the IM 25 Nuvo Pro 2 lagoon. Will be creating a new build thread on that one soon.

Just tested water it’s been 2 weeks since last water change.

This is using the Red Sea blue bucket. Think I need to increase Ph and nitrates but I could be getting a false reading due to a little algae.

not the best picture camera on phone is horrible. Green balls not attached to anything usually scoop them out with a next.

Really nice work. I also have a 25 lagoon. Great tank format. You will love it.

Thanks will have it finished this week. But planning on putting a 1/4” birch veneer around the outside with a stain and urethane finish for protection plus shelving for stuff. May not have it 100% complete hahahahaha.

I used Baltic birch on my most recent stand (in my IM 25 build thread). I hate how birch blotches so I tried Total Boat amber gloss varnish. It was spot on. Great product that dried so fast I was able to get 6 coats on in one night. They also have a clear satin and clear gloss. I brushed it on. It also sprays on with a little thinning.
