So far 3 lights on my tank. 2 16HD and HD. Might be a bit too much for beginner. But I do want sps in the future.

Forgot to post that I think my dragon eye zoa is dead.. accidentally put superglue on the heads. Now they are whites...
And since yesterday my Eagles eye is closing up..

Not sure what happen. I didn't really do any changes on the tank.
This was before I put in medicated food for the clowns.

Finally got my PM2... Stupid USPS...
16009148435544077294899651122893.jpg

I separated the PM2 from the rest of the module because of the salinity probe need to be separated from the other electical wires.
I also moved my probes to the refugium. Hopefully it won't be covered with chaeto...
1600915047851493465084262508418.jpg

I was weary about the salinity probe. 1st time calibration showed the calibration fluid was 33ppt...
2nd calibration showed 34.9ppt. much better.
Hopefully it stays consistent.

Ooo I also moved the temp probe to the PM2. Stupid temp probe was all over the place at 1st. I had to wait couple hours before it will settle down.

And .. I decided to take down that last AI Prime HD. So I have only 2 AI Prime 16HDs
If I do want SPS in the future, I probably upgrade to radions

I am officially in the ugly stage...

And I decided to move my rocks around because the blenny is being territorial. But he was only chasing the goby. He left the firefish alone

Good luck with the blackout!
I also have a 40g breeder that is probably about ready to hit the uglys. Uh oh

Thank you, all I can say is.. let your tank be "dirty" all of the sudden my Phosphate goes from 0.1 to 0.. then the nitrate too.. 5 to 0.

Pulled my chaeto from my sump on Saturday. I think it worked too well. Finally able to get phosphate up to 0.01 and nitrate to 1.
I feed them 3x now. Before it was twice.

Well... I finally able to test my refractometer with a new solution.
But 1st I calibrated again with Brightwell solution that I have been using to 35ppt.
16015984464082802649591447222454.jpg

Then I dropped the new solution by Aqua Craft.
Showing 37ppt. Dun dun dun....

Which one should I trust???

But I tend to trust this new solution... Cause everytime I tested my alkalinity on a new mixed Tropic Marin Pro reef saltwater, its showing 6.4 or lower..

And my apex conductivity is showing 32.7
Screenshot_20201001-203415.jpg

I calibrated the refractometer with the new solution and tested my tank water....
Yup it is 33ppt.

So.. I have been mixing my saltwater lower than I want it...

Finally my alkalinity issue with this tank is answered.

Stupid brightwell solutions..
