And you can get a bottle in return, that definitely won't be mead because it's prohibited to ship alcohol between states. So it definitely won't be mead, just watch how much you have and try not to drive after.
Pm me your address I'll get it out to you this weekend.

Working on placement of some of the sbb frags. And now I get to see how good I am at scaping with coral. as with the hardscape, which could use a revision but it's alive now so I don't want to go smashing too much, I'm sure it will change when I upgrade. So here's what I have to place: 5 gonis, 4 zoas, the hammer can be home for now (bright and front in the picture), and the clove polyps have a place that will work. mushrooms have no home yet.

First the picture, then the thought process. feedback welcome:
8-24.jpg

I placed a goni at the green dot on the right and a monti I'm trying to rehab from my other tank on the red dot. I will likely try another goni under the red dot monti to hide the epoxy puddy, another under the overhang. that makes 3 of five home. the mushrooms i might try to grow on the cliff on the left. and zoas may just go in lava rock drilled to accept a frag plug. they can then move around till I know what i am doing or talk my wife into a bigger fw tank. Cloves are on the small rock on the

On that note, i am now floating the idea of "2 big tanks and nothing else". The freshwater angel tank can turn into a 120 or 135 easily enough, then fit discus. This part really helps sell the idea. That frees up the 75 to become salt water; replacing this build. We will then keep the 10 gallons for qt or hospital tanks and the two largest tanks that would fit in the stands become sumps. "Every other" tank gets gone. But that's the long game. might need a coral or two to outgrow this 40...

Morning party people. Tasks for the day are a few:
Boil driftwood for a fresh water build.

IMG_20220828_105614307_HDR.jpg

Water change on at least one of the sw tanks.

Pardon the algae, it's a mess:

Play with this one:

And bike maintenance. It's been too long...

The full list is much longer but that should be enough for today.

Wood boiled. Still soaking so the picture is the same.

Puppy played with.

Bike maintenance not yet done. It's a lot of chores for the Sabbath so the mrs and I are going hiking instead.

But I did also empty the 3 10 gallon tanks I have for qting. I will wash them sometime soon.

And for those following along, the mead is cooking.

Petco has a golden headed goby as well. I'm likely to go back for it unless talked out of it. I have two concerns with it though. One: dropping sand on my substrate based coral, and two: as a sand sifter he may be in compitition for pods with the green mandarin.

Even if you boil the wood, it'll still release tannins and lower the pH. Wood never really stops leaching tannins. I would be worried about that with a saltwater tank.
Planning fresh water for the driftwood. Kribs maybe. I want African cichlids but I have driftwood, not rocks. Any suggestions for the freshwater end? It's a 36 gallon bowfront tank.

African Cichlid tanks usually have driftwood and river rock - at least the nice looking ones! Otherwise you can def do angels or South Americans as they usually LOVE soft, low pH water with tannins.

I have some river rock. I'm sure they would probably leach for a while, the runoff from boiling was dark. Jewels are leading the pack atm. Also like your suggestion of johanni. I got time though.

Petco had a German Blue Ram the other day and one of our KFS has Kribs on sale. I'm not going to lie, I was tempted. Convicts and Kribs in a 30 BiOrb should be fine... Right?

Kribs were pretty passive when I had them with the rams, but convicts would kill everything once they started to spawn.

Kribs maybe. I don't know what it is, convicts aren't my thing. Edit mine had rams earlier this week. Almost got them.
