Here's a fun fact: I just won $500 in a church raffle. Second prize, first was Ravens season tickets.

So "check is in the mail" for the raffle winnings. half is committed to another raffle. this time for a 1957 Chevy belair.

But the other half...I have found two 150 gallon tanks on the book of faces, one for $100. it's listing offers more questions than answers, so I'd want to see it first before making any decisions. It claims to be a 158 and 3 feet long. anyone heard of a tank in those dimensions?

And the other is $350 and "reef ready" with sump and all. Pictures look good so I may try for it. we'll see.

On another note: I got probably the final stocking for the 40!
a foxface blenny. it was between this and a canary blenny and the foxface stays smaller. He's hard to photograph but here is the attempt.

and a sailfin blenny. He was completely white in the shop, but there was nothing in the tank and he was probably trying to blend. This one is harder to photograph as he found a home in the cave and comes out for food and that's about it.

It's have to be a column or cube tank ...

Picture (singular, red flag no. 1) looks longer than tall. could it have a square footprint? it looks like a standard tank, but can't for the life of me find anything 3 feet long that is close to 150 gallons. I may reach out for more info, may not.

Began Copper the other night in the QT. I had just finished reading Jay Hemdal's writeup here about his quarantine procedure, so the numbers were fresh in my head. mix to 2.5 ppm in two doses, more for sensitive fish. I thought I might not have sensitive fish, so I proceeded to mix per the bottle's recommendation. Well, I got confused along the way and thought I was to mix 2.5 oz per 10 gallons. So I put half that in. then reread the bottle. Then at 945 pm did a 50% water change on the qt, only 5 gallons fortunately. replaced with water from one of the displays while mixing some to replace that. I figured pulling from the display would be best because at least at that point I could be 5 gallons light on the display for a night, or quickly mix some and add it in. The parameter shift would be smaller in the display, being only a 12% change.

Well, that excitement was Tuesday and I have seen no issues at all in either tank. Tomorrow or Saturday I will get the Cu tester that I should already have.

On a sadder note, two of the three turkana cichlids I got have died. not sure why, maybe aggression, maybe stress. not ammonia, the tests and badge indicate under .2.

Yeah i have to comment on the Ravens post. Its like a rule being from CLE. Art Model sucked. And as far as the tanks go, go big or go home and be sure to check them BOTH out in person if you can. Even see if they will fill them so you can be sure they dont leak.

The post themself I'm probably not going for it. After checking again, post says 3x2x2.5 Maybe the 3d printer. The other tank sold. Don't blame them, it was nice.
