Little update sand is in today. I went from 17 chromies to 6. Now I know what you think there was something disease wise. Nope. I had my power heads on 100% crankin water flow. They ate them up at night. These were sleeping and then sucked into the powerhead . 20,000 gph not including the return pumps. My mistake.
I’ve adjusted the pumps and for 10 nights now still the same 6. They look happy and healthy and schooling.

mill take pics of the tank with sand tmrw.

Looking for suggestions more tangs next or another schooling variety?? Anthias, cardinals ect. Maybe a trio of jaw fish?
I just added a single Black Capped Jawfish to my new 150. I love these little guys. His name is Grumpy Gus.
My Tomini tang was messing with him and kept going into his cave. Very entertaining to watch them interact.

Don't mind me. I'm just here to ogle and pretend that this is my tank.

PS: If I had the money for a tank like that I'd find a way to put 4-5 gem tangs in it.

something like:
1 regal
1 achilles
4-5 yellow
4-5 gem tangs

Also for schooling/shoaling fish:

12 lyretail anthias; 3m 9f
10-12 banggai cardinalfish
plus a large group of Chrysiptera damsels (azure, yellowtail, springers) probably go in last though.

I'd also pile the bottom full of gobies and blennies. Lawnmower, starry, yasha, yellow watchmen, diamond sandsifter, yellow neon, prawn gobies, bicolour, midas, etc.

Also wrasses. So many wrasses. 6 yellow coris wrasses, minimum. Plus possum wrasses, pink streak wrasses, melanurus wrasse, leopard wrasses, fairy wrasses, flasher wrasses, etc etc.

Also like 6 royal grammas and also some black cap basslets.

Oh and can't forget pyramid butterflyfish and Swallowtail angels

Oh and rabbitfishes too. Gotta have some of those.

I love the idea of a big school of some type of anthias. I can't help with which kind; I found out that my tank was too small for a school, and I stopped looking at them lol
