Once they settle, I would love pics!
I also need to try my hand at some gorgs as my dream hitchhiker seems to prefer coming in on gorgs (Sea Whip Gobies - Bryaninops species).

Some pics in my build thread. I had never tried gorgs since they are so sensitive, but I felt like experimenting. Hope they will open over the next few days. I ALMOST pulled the trigger on a gold tip carnation, but I didn't know enough about them.

I’m shocked you could stop yourself! I know for a fact I would’ve taken it and constantly researched it.
I swear I don’t support impulse buying but I do do it sometimes ;)

I'm hell when it comes to impulse buying. Coral is fairly new to me personally so I'm a bit hesitant, fish not so much...

Yeah, fish are relatively easy across the board, if you have experience with a difficult fish then most will be very similar, easy fish are well… exactly the same. I definitely don’t hesitate on fish impulse buying unless the tank is already fully stocked or I’m waiting for a certain fish already.

Don’t know what to say other than look at these Halichoeres! The jade is colouring up and becoming a true showpiece fish.
The Jade has now got a purple splotch behind his eye and the green and blue/purple on his face are showing up more. I’m so glad he’s not being too aggressive as he’s a stunning fish. When I first heard of this fish I thought why would people own one they look ugly, the instant I came across the juvenile was a whole other story! These just get more intriguing and pretty with age.

Now for the Iridis. This guy is colouring up so well and actually seems to be the alpha wrasse out of the whole gang. So much for being peaceful hey? This is another fish I thought looked ugly as males but in person… It’s like a whole different story.

I added a 6th wrasse yesterday, and he’s out but he’s also not put haha. In other words, he’s awake but he’s hiding in the rocks. All the other guys are absolutely fine, there was some flashing from the Indo Lubbocki but the other two that were most risky with this ignored him!

I did go for a paracheilinus species but not the one I thought I’d have (Paracheilinus octotaenia) instead I went with one I loved due to when he flashes it’s like a totally different fish, Paracheilinus cyaneus.

Finally got a few photos! Here’s a decent head shot, plus the life on the dead stag, absolutely stunning and theres

Look what I found earlier… An FTS of my 3’ tank before the crash! Some absolutely beautiful fish but it really shows how much progress has been done in 2 years out of the 11+ I’ve been in this hobby. Also shows my first foxface before the guy I currently have.

I probably missed it somehow, but what was the cause of the tank crash?

It was when I moved over to the 4’ and had a fight between the fish dying due to cold water (hypothermia) or attempting to control an out of control spike (Amonnia) whilst keeping the fish alive.

Ah I see, thank you for the clarification.

He’s out and swimming quite happily. Essentially nothing scares him into the rock, and after talking with Salty it’s a question of whether it could be a hybrid cyaneus. Possibly Cyaneus x Flavianalis.

Here’s a photo off of from the LFS’s instagram from where I got him from. An extremely interesting fish and one of the reasons I’d love for him to display his full colours. Credit to The Ocean Project.

I’m now realising how hard flashers are to get photos of. He’s a beauty but absolutely hates photos. I keep trying to tell him he isn’t famous and doesn’t need to hide but oh well.

Here’s some photos of everyone! I’ll update on the Angel once I get a full answer. I have a feeling he has something wrong with him but I can’t figure out what.

It’s been a while as there’s still not much to update on however here’s a couple frags I took out of both tanks. It really shows how big my Staghorn I had in this tank was. Really is a stunning piece to have hold of and I do wonder if I actually want to use the frags instead of have them as display features as they’re so detailed.

The two montis are from my nano along with the smaller acro. The two LPS and the larger acro are from this tank. I’ve figured out what the two LPS were, the smaller skeleton was off of I believe my Joker and the other was an old frogspawn seen in the 3’ tank FTS.

And actually the others too in a way.

Also, the indo Lubbock’s managed to get into the sump… I’ll do an update on everything tomorrow :)
