A photo of the Transitioning Jade from today:
21B83578-B61A-4FBF-A230-B913A2D9A6F6.jpeg

The green near the dorsal fin is MUCH lighter now and the black splotch (The main indicator of the transition) is much more dominant.
Nice!

The aim for the coming months in this tank is to get acropora to thrive. I have a tiny bit of monti thriving on the flat piece of rock in the middle of the tank, hopefully I can add onto that in the next few months/year.

Also, I found an old video of my tilefish flashing, here it is.

It’s not great due to the blur.

Some photos of this morning. It’s interesting because his resting colours are different in the morning compared to when lights are on.

I’ve been doing research on clams since I want one for my nano once phosphates and nutrients are level and looked in the book to see this.
I get it’s going to take years but 4 foot long is the same size as a 100g tank’s dimensions. Just thought it would be quite funny seeing a tank with a clam in it that’s the same size as the tank’s dimensions. Can you imagine, like forget the fish you have all you need in there, just a big clam haha

While this isn’t related to the tank, enjoy a picture of my over excited dog haha
His name is Cody, he is a blue merl border collie and is very energetic even if he is 11 he acts like he’s a puppy

Yes he is, I’m actually pleased with the photo he let me grab of him since it shows part of the trait that he breed is known for (The blue fur under tank lights).

Enjoy a couple of my photos of the animals I own (I haven’t decided yet if they will include fish from my nano or not).

Lights out on the nano unfortunately but first thing I’m doing tomorrow is grabbing photos of them guys!! The leopard is growing at a nice pace too. For now, a photo of the CBB I forgot to add but absolutely adore.

Since Cody got some time on here, may as well let Alfie have some time aswell.
This is the best photo I got of him, he’s a 12 year old Black Tricolor Border Collie

Okay… so everyone LOVES those big big eyes on the pink streaks however… Dang can they be nightmare fuel if you don’t know it’s there…

I just had one of the worst experiences in this hobby. My tilefish decides to hide in his cave and catch me off guard. The second dose of food and he decided he would shoot up, hit my hand and then flop on the floor. I checked the tank then heard flopping on the floor, I had no idea which fish it was and all I caught was the blue body. Luckily I caught it just seconds after it happened and got him in, annoyingly he landed near the radiator. He didn’t flash too much so I think I got him in time, he also came out for feeding almost instantly. I now know not to lift the lid too high up instantly, he almost always shoots up instantly so it should be an average thing for me to know.

I hope to god this fish lasts Atleast the night and isn’t too stressed. When he hit the water he went straight down to the cave and came out a few seconds later to eat so I guess that’s a good thing.

This tang is REALLY starting to annoy me with trying to keep it from not being harmed. These are meant to be the most aggressive fish in the tank, and it’s in the genus with possibly the thickest slime coat in the family.

This is getting annoying and making me want to avoid tangs altogether in the future or maybe have one or two exceptions (White Tail Bristletooth being one).

Luckily, it’s healed and just looks like a darker patch of pattern. Finally found something to keep myself busy though. Got 2 plates of wood as a desktop to try and paint. Gunna make one a Tahitian reef and the other a Tongan reef. Now just to find time in my days to do it!
