I'm planning a build with a 6' tank and thinking of getting the AquaticLife T5 Hybrid fixture but it only goes up to 5' long. Would you do dual 3' with complete side to side coverage or would you do a single 5'? If you have put a T5 fixture that wasn't as wide as the tank I'd like to see it to better understand the look. Thanks.

I agree a 5' will be fine. I have a 60" T5 hybrid over both of my 180s. One is mostly high light coral and the other is mixed reef. The purpose of the hybrid was to eliminate the shadowing I had with LEDs alone and to increase par.It has worked wonderfully.

Do you want to buy twice as many bulbs yearly? Go with one 60".

I have a 6 foot light on a 7 foot tank and I hated it so much that I bought lights for the ends. Most of this depends on your rock scape and all of that, but I go end to end and the lights on the end are already soft enough without six inches of no light on the ends. Nobody can figure this out but you.
